Trekking in Ala-Archa gorge

The famous Ala-Archa gorge is located on the Kyrgyz ridge. The length of the ridge is 375 km. On the territory of Kyrgyzstan it begins in the Boom gorge and ends in Kazakhstan in the city of Taraz.
The highest point of the Kyrgyz ridge is the peak of Semenov-Tyan-Shanskiy 4875 m. There are many gorges on the Kyrgyz ridge with a wide variety of routes but the most popular gorge is Ala-Archa. Many people know Ala-Archa as an Alplager of 2,100 m height. Many peaks can be conquered here in just one day.
Many climbers and tourists begin their journey in Ala-Archa where training camps, runnings, and other various events take place. Also, the most important feature of Ala-Archa is that it has many routes - more than 100 and they are all of various categories of difficulty.
Many climbers acclimatize here before Lenin Peak and other seven-thousanders of Kyrgyzstan. This program is suitable both for those who want to discover new peaks and for acclimatization before difficult ascents to higher peaks.
