In May 2025, Pok Hwan Lin from Singapore traveled with us to Kyrgyzstan.

She came not only to see the mountains, canyons, and the legendary Issyk-Kul Lake. Her goal was to run 21 km in the international Run the Silk Road marathon.

Pok Hwan Lin confidently completed the half marathon distance and combined the race with an incredible adventure across Kyrgyzstan.

For her, the race became more than just a sporting event, it was part of a larger journey filled with new discoveries, meaningful connections, and emotions that will last for a long time.

This year, the International Issyk-Kul Marathon Run the Silk Road will take place on May 2, 2026, in Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul). It is one of the most scenic running events in the country.
