1. Sary-Chelek. The biosphere reserve is located at the altitude of 1900 m above the sea level. There are several mountain lakes on the territory of the reserve. Lake Sary-Chelek is the second deepest lake in Kyrgyzstan. About 157 species of birds and about 40 species of mammals live on the territory of the reserve.
More than 1000 plant species can be found here. Trees, mountain tulips, and peonies bloom here in May. And it is the best period to visit Sary-Chelek in spring. There is incredible beauty here, and the mountain slopes are covered with the bright flowers.
