Made in Kyrgyzstan
In the very heart of the industrial city Mailuu-Suu, among the workshops and machines of the legendary Lamp Plant, there’s a place where true New Year’s magic is born. Here, among the equipment used for making light bulbs, artisans create… glass Christmas ornaments.

The Mailuu-Suu Lamp Plant is the largest lighting factory in Central Asia, producing over 40 types of incandescent lamps — for homes, vehicles, sewing machines, refrigerators, and even festive illumination.
This magical story began almost by accident in 2013, when the factory received an order from a toy manufacturer in Lviv, Ukraine, to produce glass blanks for ornaments. The order was completed successfully — and then came the idea: “Why not create our own?”
So, on the same machines that produce light bulbs, delicate glass spheres began to take shape. The first attempt was modest, but in 2019, the project was revived — this time with passion and attention to every detail.

Today, almost the entire process is carried out by one person — Tatyana Kazayeva. She crafts each ornament by hand: adding glitter, painting designs, detailing faces and patterns, and carefully packing the finished decorations into boxes. Her signature style is easy to recognize — nostalgic retro themes, classic cartoon characters, cozy winter landscapes, and local Mailuu-Suu motifs.

Each ornament is unique. All have a standard 60 mm diameter — a legacy of the lamp-making machines — yet every one carries a spark of creativity and warmth from human hands.
These glass treasures are sold only in one place — the factory’s own shop. Looking at them, you feel they hold not just light within the glass, but the glow of the heart that created them.
A rare and truly magical craft in Kyrgyzstan.
