A sporting event in Osh
A remarkable event took place in the city of Osh — the World Cup in Mountain Sports Tourism has come to a close, bringing together the strongest athletes from different countries.
The national team of the Kyrgyz Republic demonstrated an outstanding level of skill and took second place in the overall standings, yielding only to the team from Russia. This achievement is a vivid confirmation that Kyrgyz sports tourism is actively developing and confidently entering the international stage.
The competitions were held at the highest organizational level and became a powerful incentive for the development of mountain sports in the southern region of the country. Thanks to this event, thousands of residents of Osh discovered the fascinating world of mountain sports tourism.
On Mount Kermé-Too, where the starts took place, a modern climbing route has now been equipped. It will be used for training in mountaineering, mountain tourism, and rock climbing. The site will also serve as a base for the training of rescuers, military personnel, and border guards.
Hosting the World Cup in Osh revealed the region’s tremendous potential and laid a solid foundation for future international competitions. Such tournaments are sure to become a tradition, bringing together athletes from around the world and inspiring a new generation of mountain adventurers.
