The International Summer School on Geology and Geoheritage is a unique opportunity for students, young scientists, and professionals from around the world to deepen their knowledge of geosciences through the exploration of the natural heritage of the Tien Shan and Pamir mountains.

Location — The mountainous regions of Central Asia, known for their exceptional geological and natural value. These areas reflect over 500 million years of Earth's history, serving as a "living laboratory" and including sites eligible for global geopark status.

Exchange of experience between international and regional specialists

Promotion of geosciences and geoheritage

Hands-on training in the field

Development and assessment of potential geoparks

Establishment of professional networks

Exchange of experience between international and regional experts

The program includes:

Lectures and master classes on geoheritage, geosites, and geohazards

Practical fieldwork: geosurvey, geosite identification and description, geopark management planning

Visits to geologically significant sites, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, and cultural landmarks

Participants — Students, postgraduates, researchers, and geoheritage professionals from Central Asia and beyond.
