2. Our Team
Mikhail Mikhailov — Base Camp Leader, legend of world mountaineering, master of sports of international class. He has vast experience in managing base camps, as he worked as the head of the Base Camp at South Inylchek for ten years. Now he leads the sports mountaineering section. He is fluent in English.
Sergey Kolmagorov — Chief of the First Camp at 4200. He worked as a chief in the camp on South Inylchek. Since 2008, he worked under Lenin Peak as the Chief of the Base Camp. In 2023-2024, he worked as the Chief of the First Camp (at 4200) under Lenin Peak from Mount Asia. He is fluent in German. He has experience in mountain hikes and ascents.
Maria Telichkina is the chef at Camp 1. Maria is a true master of her craft! She is responsible for tasty and balanced meals that help maintain strength during the ascent. With many years of experience working in the mountains, in the harshest weather conditions, she skillfully combines concern for taste and health and also pleases guests with incredibly delicious homemade pastries.
3. Guides
Alexey Krivoruchko — has made eight successful ascents of Lenin Peak. Six of them as a guide. Currently, Alexey has the first category in skyrunning and the second category in mountaineering. Following the results of the 2016 ascent, as part of a sports group, he took second place in the high-altitude class of the Mountaineering Championship.
Nikolay Totmyanin is an experienced guide, participant in the most difficult expeditions, has the title of snow leopard six times. The list of achievements includes ascents to the Caucasus, Pamir, Tien Shan, Korakorum, Himalayas, and the Alps. Among the peaks: Jannu Peak 7710 m, K2 - western wall, Eiger along the northern wall, Korzhenevskaya Peak, Everest from the north and many other peaks.
Ivan Mysiv and Alexey Bobkov are professional guides with extensive experience working at altitude. They have successfully climbed Lenin Peak more than once.

Every year our camp has surprises. Legends of world mountaineering come to visit us. Vladimir Shataev, Carlos Soria, Denis Urubko and others are frequent guests.
Today we will get to know better the head of the base camp at an altitude of 3600 m - Mikhail Mikhailov.
Mikhail Mikhailov — a legend of world mountaineering. Mikhail is a Master of Sports in mountaineering, whose name is well-known far beyond Kyrgyzstan. From 1984 to 1987, he was a member of the Youth National Team of the Kyrgyz USSR in sport climbing. In 1989, he dedicated his life entirely to mountaineering.
Throughout his career, he has repeatedly proven his skills at the highest level. His ascents have been recognized with prestigious awards: Piolet d’Or (France), Golden Piton (USA), and Golden Ice Axe (Russia). He has also won multiple championships and prizes in international mountaineering competitions
Despite numerous nominations as part of Russian mountaineering teams, Mikhail has always represented Kyrgyzstan, bringing honor to his homeland on the global stage.
Mikhail Mikhailov is not just a mountaineer—he is a man who has shaped the history of world mountaineering.
In addition to his outstanding athletic achievements, Mikhail is an excellent organizer, known for his practical and strategic leadership. These qualities are essential for managing a base camp, where precision, reliability, and the ability to create comfortable conditions for the team are crucial.
