from Subashi to the base camp

Arrival in Bishkek. You will be met by the representative of the Asia Mountains Company at the airport and brought to the group’s meeting point, the Asia Mountains Hotel-1. Here you will have a delicious breakfast and some rest on the territory of the hotel. We have a pool, enjoy it! It is more than +32 degrees in Bishkek in summer. After that you will be transferred to Naryn town. Overnight and dinner in the guest house.

Crossing the border. After breakfast we pack up stuff and drive to the Kyrgyz-Chinese border. At the border we have to wait until the Chinese side lets the group go(тоже можно удалить полностью). The Asia Mountains Company does not recommend to take radios, canned food and etc. Then the group gets to Kashgar. Overnight in the Qinibak Hotel or the similar 4 stars ones.

Kashgar/Karakul Lake (3,652 m). When we finish breakfast we will drive 200 kilometers from Kashgar to Karakul Lake. It will take about 4 hours to get there. Karakul Lake is located at the altitude of 3,652 m. We need to put tents and then we can have a walk around in the area to get acclimatization before the trekking part. Full board meals during the day.

Trekking from Karakul Lake to Kunsiwa (3,700 m). It is time to start our trekking program. Hiking part will take us 5-6 hours by Kunsiwa lake.We do not need to take heavy bags with us. Camels will carry the entire luggage. We will need only small bags with warm clothes and lunch. Camels will bring all bags to the camping place. We will enjoy the fantastic view of huge Kongur peak 7,719 m. Kongur is the highest peak of the Kun Lun Mountains, Kanyailak Grassland, and the eastern part of Muztagh Ata Mountain. Night will be in tents. Full board meals are included.

Trekking from Kunsiwa to Kyqikaqi (3,900 m). We start the way after breakfast. Today the way will take about 6 km. And it will take us 3-5 hours. We will get to Kyqikaqi. This place is known as a Kyrgyz nomad’s village. Where they spend time in winter. Beautiful view opens from this point to the North-East side of Muztagh Ata Peak. Overnight in tents. Meals are included.

Trekking from Kyqikaqi to Subashi village (3,700 m). Today will be a short trekking part. About 6-7 km (3 hours) to get to Subashi village. The village is located at the altitude 3,700 m. Kyrgyz nomads stay here during the winter period. You will visit local primary school and Kyrgyz family. It is a good chance to learn more about nomad’s lifestyle and culture. Tents camping. Full board meals.

Trekking from Subashi village to Qaotumak village (4,100 m). After active trekking program we have rather good acclimatization to get higher. Today we have a long way. Trekking part is 15 km (8 hours) and we will get to Qaotumak village. It looks like we are ready to make it to the Base Camp. But first some rest and overnight in tents. Meals included.

Trekking from Qaotumak village to Muztagh Ata Base Camp and back (4,300 m). Main day of the trekking program. Today will get to the goal of the trip. We will visit Muztagh-Ata base camp. The way takes 4-5 hours. Altitude 4350 m. Climbers start their acclimatization program from this camp. You will see their preparations for the mountain. Most of climbers prefer to make a ski ascent to the mountains and then to ski down. We will hike up to the beautiful glacier named Janblak. Make pictures and enjoy the view! Then we need to go back to Qaotumak village. It will take about 1 hour to get to our camping place. 3 times meals are included.

Qaotumak/Subashi/Kashgar . Today we are on the way to Subashi. Trekking part takes about 3 hours. The bus will wait for us there. So, the trekking part of our journey is finished. We say goodbye to Muztagh-Ata Mountain and continue driving to Kashgar. The takes 165 km (5 hours). Night in hotel. Meals are included.

Sightseeing in Kashgar . It is time for cultural part. Today we will visit well-known places in the city. One of them is Abakh Khoja Tomb, Id Kah Mosque means "a place of praying and celebrating in festivals". Kashgar Old Town. With a history of more than 2,000 years, Kashgar Old Town is situated in the center of Kashgar city. Kashgar Grand Bazaar. Night in hotel. Meals are included.

Kashgar - Torugart . Today we need to cross the border. After breakfast we start driving to Torugart pass. Overnight in Naryn guest house. 3 times meals are included.

Transfer from Naryn to Issyk-Kul Lake. After good sleep we continue the way to Issyk-Kul lake. You can enjoy swimming in a mountain lake. Night in a guest house or yurts.

Issyk-Kul Lake - Bishkek. You can have swimming in the morning and after breakfast we drive back to Bishkek. The way will take about 4-5 hours. Lunch on the way. Overnight and dinner in hotel.

Departure. Our driver will take you to the airport. Have a good flight. End the of program.
