From Jyrgalan valley to Altyn-Arashan Valley

The fascinating trek along the Terskey - Ala-Too ridge. Our way will start from the Jyrgalan Valley and finish in Altyn-Arashan valley. The route passes through mountain meadows, and the most interesting thing is through the most beautiful lakes which we will meet on the route. Many lakes are without names, but some of them have received names, such as lakes Boz-Uchuk, Ailanysh and Ala-Kul. The lakes on our way are the most diverse with different sizes and depths, the most courageous can swim in their icy water!
We will start our journey from Jyrgalan Valley, which is located in the Issyk-Kul region, not far from Karakol (around 60 km). Our trekking is rich in the most diverse landscapes and fascinating transitions through the passes from one gorge to another, and so on until we come to Altyn-Arashan valley.

You will see beautiful panoramas, lakes, waterfalls and hot springs in this trip. And you will enjoy a short rest at the shore of the Lake Issyk-Kul. During the trekking part of the journey you will cross mountain rivers, passes, glaciers and moraines. You will spend nights in tents and admire the night sky with million stars. Arrival in Bishkek. Meeting with the guide at the Manas airport. Transfer to the Bishkek city 30 km, breakfast. After breakfast transfer to the Bokonbaevo village 250 km / 4 - 4.5 h. Upon arrival, accommodation in a yurt camp, rest on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Lunch on the way to the cafe.

Bokonbaevo - Jyrgalan 200 km / 3 - 3.5 hours. After breakfast, we will continue our way, on the way visit canyons Fairy Tale, a walk in the canyons for about 1 - 1.5 hours. After a walk in the canyons, we continue our journey to the village of Jyrgalan. Upon arrival accommodation in a guest house, rest.

After breakfast, transfer to the confluence of the Jyrgalan and Terimtor-Bulak rivers (~15 km). Start of the hike (2550 m) trekking up the Terimtor-Bulak gorge, lunch on the way. After lunch, we will continue our ascent up the Terimtor - Bulak gorge. We will make a camp on the shore of the beautiful mountain lake close to Bulak-Ashu Pass (~15 km, 3470 m, 8-9 h ). Overnight in the tents.

Bulak - Ashuu - Bozuchuk - Ashu. After breakfast, we will continue trekking to the Turgen-Aksu gorge over Bulak-Ashu Pass (3441 m), the crossing of the river Turgen-Aksu and then trek up the Bozuchuk-Ashu gorge over Bozuchuk-Ashu Pass (3362 m). (~22 km, - 790 m, +700 m, -170 m)/ Camp on the bank of the river. Overnight in the tents.

Boz-Uchuk lakes - Djergez gorge. Today we will have a beautiful trekking part to the mountain lakes - Boz-Uchuk. Lunch will be with breathtaking views.
Then we will continue trekking to the Djerges gorge over Djerges pass (3516 m). It is time to prepare tents for camping. (Route: ~8-10 km, +350 m, -320 m, +240 m). Camp is on the shore of Alyanysh Lake. Overnight in the tents.
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner.
Lake Alyanysh- Aksu gorge. Trekking to the Aksu gorge over the Alyanysh pass (3671 m). Camp (8-9 km, +250 m, - 900 m.) Overnight in the tents.
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner.
Aksu to Altyn-Arashan gorge. Trekking to Altyn-Arashan valley over Anyr-Tor pass (3609 m), (13 km, +830 m, -1100 m). Overnight in the guesthouse.
Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner.
Arashan - Karakol - Cholpon-Ata 170 km. Descent from Altyn-Arashan to the city of Karakol, in the city of Karakol an excursion, we will visit the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church and the Dungan mosque built without a single nail. Lunch, after lunch transfer to Cholpon-Ata. Upon arrival, accommodation in a guest house.
Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.
Cholpon-Ata - Bishkek, 250 km / 4 hours on the way. In the morning you can spend time on the shore of the lake - swimming or just enjoying the view. Departure is after lunch.
On the way, we will visit the historical-architectural complex of Burana Tower. Excursion to the museum and the tower Burana (XI c.). We will visit the remaining foundations of once majestic mausoleums (XI-XII centuries) - tombs of the powerful rulers of the city. We will see the open-air museum where you can see the life evidence of numerous representatives of various doctrines, cultures, religions and lifestyles collected from the whole Chu valley. Upon arrival to Bishkek accommodation is in guest house 3*.

Departure. This morning the car will take you to the airport for your flight home.
