(Skiing in Kyrgyzstan)
The Terskey-Ala-Too Range is located in the north-eastern part of Kyrgyzstan and embraces the Issyk-Kul Hollow from the south. Its ridge extends for 375 kilometers in the latitudinal direction and rises to 5,281 meters above sea level (Karakolsky peak) in its highest part. The average height of the range is about 4,500 m.
