Irdyk and Jyrgalan gorges
(Ski Tour in the Heart of Kyrgyzstan)
The ski touring program takes place in a stunning mountainous region of Kyrgyzstan, famous for its picturesque valleys and beautiful slopes perfect for skiing.
In this program, participants can appreciate the unique natural beauty while actively exploring local slopes and soaking in the spirit of these mountains.
The journey begins in Bishkek, the capital city surrounded by the mountain ranges of the Tien Shan. The city attracts tourists with its blend of modern life and national traditions. Historic squares, wide avenues, and green parks create a unique atmosphere and provide a glimpse into Kyrgyz culture.
After getting to know Bishkek, the route continues to the city of Karakol and then to the Irdyk yurt camp, located at an altitude of around 2,300 meters. The Irdyk area is renowned for its safe skiing routes and mild climate, allowing participants to enjoy skiing while avoiding avalanche-prone areas. Majestic snowy landscapes, fresh air, and expansive slopes create ideal conditions for ski touring. Participants stay in traditional yurts, the national homes surrounded by wild nature, and evenings include sauna sessions, adding an authentic touch to the experience.
The next part of the tour takes place in Jyrgalan, a high-altitude region known for its variety of ski routes. Here, participants can ski on slopes reaching up to 3,600 meters, enjoying panoramic views of mountain valleys and peaks. Jyrgalan offers unique opportunities for skiers: skiing across snowy landscapes, comfortable accommodation in a cozy hostel or hotel, and, after an active day, the chance to unwind in a sauna or simply admire the mountainous surroundings.
