Excursion to Alamedin gorge
(Nordic Walking in Kyrgyzstan)
Alamedin mountain gorge is the closest to Bishkek, located just 30 km from the capital. It is very popular among tourists and local residents due to its accessibility and natural radon springs which are medicinal and help fight sleep disturbance, stress and diseases of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. The sanatorium «Tyoplye Klyuchi” (warm springs) functions in the gorge; it was built here back in the days of the Soviet Union.
Today we will walk to Alamedin Waterfall with an experienced Nordic walking instructor who will explain and show the principle of this type of activity. The route is about five kilometers from the car park. Saturated bright greenery, abundant thickets of sea buckthorn, barberry, wild rose, lulling hum of a crystal-clear mountain river and fresh air will help you to fully relax after a work week, gain new strength and inspiration.
Here, you can organize a picnic, you can pick up medicinal herbs - thyme, oregano and then brew and drink healthy hot tea on winter evenings. An excursion to the Alamedin Gorge is suitable for everyone who wants to spend a day in the mountains with health benefits, and return to the city in the evening.
