Many people come to Kyrgyzstan for horseback riding tours which are done for several days in a row and often the route passes through only one locality. Here we offer you an overview of the country with many of its sights - architectural, cultural and natural, combined with horseback riding.

This unique tour will allow you to see most of our amazingly beautiful country, as well as try yourself as a professional rider for several days.

You will see the cities of Bishkek, Tokmok, Cholpon-Ata and Karakol; You will visit the Chuy and Issyk-Kul valleys, see their natural beauties with mountain lakes, waterfalls, mountain gorges, national parks, reserves, clear stormy rivers and unforgettable landscapes.

You will be able to live in the homes of local residents, spend a couple of nights in real national yurts, get acquainted with the life of local residents, try the national cuisine and even learn how to cook one of the national dishes.

In addition, rafting on a mountain river will be organized for you; you will have a chance to visit a farm where race horses are bred, visit the house of Berkujtchi (hunter with eagles), a felt factory and many other places that will diversify your tour and will not let you get bored.

This tour will allow you to get acquainted with the nomadic culture, with unique Kyrgyz horses which are famous for their meek disposition and high endurance. You will visit a real Kyrgyz farm, the Berkutchi house, learn how to cook one of the dishes of national cuisine, spend several nights in the national Kyrgyz yurts, take long horseback ridings, try rafting on a rugged mountain river, see the beauties of our mountainous country and also get unforgettable impressions and a bunch of amazing photos.

1

Arrival in Bishkek. Meeting at the Manas airport in Bishkek and transfer to the city. Today you will have a city tour of Bishkek - the capital of Kyrgyzstan. You can get acquainted with the uncomplicated architecture of the city and visit: Ala-Too Square, which offers a magnificent view of the snowy peaks of the Kyrgyz Range; green parks; Manas Complex, Osh Bazaar and much more. You will be met by streets filled with a colorful crowd. You will smell the East. Lunch at a restaurant with national cuisine and transfer to Shamsi Gorge. Dinner and overnight at a local family home.

2

Horse riding. After breakfast, the car will take you to the starting point (30 min). You will sit on the horses and begin your journey to the Karagai-Bulak gorge through the Mai-Bulak pass. Crossing the pass and descent to the river. Along the Köl-tor gorge and the Anaconda trail through the forest, you will get to the Shamsi gorge and further to the place of Ash Post. Depending on your physical condition, the car can pick you up from here and transport you to the Tuura-Kaiyn gorge, or you can continue on horseback and in a couple of hours you will approach the guest house, where you will have dinner and night.

Horse Riding Time: 7-8 hours. Overnight at the guest house.

3

Horse riding. After breakfast, you will continue the horseback riding to Kegety Gorge. You will wade rivers, springs, pass through copses. You will see Kyrgyz mountain pastures and grazing cattle. Horse Riding Time is 7-8 hours.

At the finish line, the car will pick you up and after about a couple of hours you will find yourself in the Burana hotel.

On the way, you can visit the historical and archaeological complex of Burana Tower. The Burana Tower (minaret) is located on the site of an ancient settlement 90 km from Bishkek. Historians and archaeologists have proved that the settlement was the capital of the Karakhanid Khanate and was called Balasagun. The city of Balasagun was founded in the middle of the 10th century and the Burana Tower today is the central monument of this complex.

4

Tokmok – Cholpon-Ata - “Reina-Kench” farm (400 km / 6 h). Today, the car will take you to the northern shore of the beautiful Issyk-Kul Lake - the pearl of Kyrgyzstan.

Here you can afford water procedures, visit the open-air petroglyph museum and the Rukh-Ordo cultural center. After lunch, you will drive to the Reina-Kench farm where you will have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house.

Farm “ Reina-Kench” - Jyrgalan Valley (50 km / 1h). This morning you will have time to ride horses, go fishing, try archery (optional and not included in the program price) and just take a walk around the farm, but most importantly you will see race horses that are bred here.

After lunch, you will move to the Jyrgalan valley, where you will have dinner and stay overnight at the guest house.

Jyrgalan Valley. In the morning the car will take you to the Eki-Chat yurt camp: a picturesque spot near the village of Jyrgalan, where you can chat with local shepherds and enjoy the tranquility of this alpine landscape. From here you will ride horses towards the Kok-Bel waterfall. The waterfall has a height of 2600 m and flows into the Kok-Bel river which is a vital source of water for various herds in the Jyrgalan Valley.

On the way to the waterfall, a breathtaking view of the Jyrgalan valley and the village as a whole opens up. By evening, return to the guest house.

Jyrgalan Valley - Karakol (80 km / 1.2 h). On this day, you can also ride horses to Lake Turnulu-Kol. This is a natural picturesque lake where cranes live in the summer months. And we will also climb Mount Chaar-Jon - the so-called “peak of the Kyrgyz Mount Fuji” - the locals gave it this name due to its lonely nature. This lonely mountain stands on the Kazakh border (3011 m) and from there you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the valley. Descent to the guest house and transfer to the city of Karakol. Overnight at a 3 * hotel.

Karakol - Altyn-Arashan - Karakol. Today we will sit in the Soviet UAZ car to drive to the Altyn-Arashan gorge, famous for its hot springs.

When you arrive to the resort, you can walk to the waterfall, walk around the surroundings and plunge into the hot mineral springs. In the evening, descent to Karakol. Overnight at 3 * hotel.

Karakol - Djeti-Oguz gorge (120 km / 2 h). Today you will have a city tour with visiting the wooden church of the Holy Trinity and the Dungan mosque, as well as the Przewalski Museum. After that, you will be taken to the Djeti-Oguz gorge along the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. The Djeti-Oguz gorge is located 60 km to the west of the city of Karakol on the northern slopes of the Terskey Ala-Too ridge in the eponymous gorge with a length of more than 40 km. Djeti-Oguz gorge is one of the most beautiful places in Kyrgyzstan.

If desired, you can climb to a low mountain from where a magnificent view of the Djeti-Oguz gorge is opened, which means “Seven Bulls” in Kyrgyz. The gorge got such a name for a reason. "Seven Bulls" is an ensemble consisting of red rocks towering above the resort area. The rock ensemble “Broken Heart” is also located here - a symbol of love which gave rise to many beautiful legends. Legends, in turn, attract not only tourists, but also lovers living in nearby villages. We will have lunch in the national Kyrgyz yurts and take a horse ride to the "Girl's braids" waterfall. Dinner and night in yurts.

Djeti-Oguz - Bokonbaevo (40 km / 1h). Today you will continue your journey through Kyrgyzstan. The path runs along the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. You will see a stunning difference between the northern shore of the lake and the southern one. The southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul is more diverse in landscape and less populated. The shore is open and you can drive up to it almost everywhere. We will visit the Barskoon gorge famous for its cascading waterfalls and get to the Arabel Pass from where you may hike to the glaciers and alpine lakes.

Next we will visit the Skazka gorge with beautiful sculptures similar to fairy-tale heroes and constructed by nature from red sand.

After that, we will go to the shore of the lake to the yurt camp, where dinner will be waiting for us. Accommodation in yurts.

11

Bokonbaevo - Bishkek (270 km / 4 h). Morning will be free. You can take a walk along the shore and relax. In the village of Bokonbaevo, we will visit a felt factory (visiting the factory is free), where we can watch the process of manual production of Kyrgyz national carpets (optional). We will also visit the house of a local eagle hunter. He will show these mighty birds and tell a lot of interesting things about them, will let you him them in hands and take a picture.

You will also visit a Kyrgyz family where the hostess will show a master class on cooking the national Kyrgyz dish - manty. You will be able to take part from the very beginning of the choice of ingredients, to their shredding and making of the mantas themselves. After having a hearty lunch you will head back to Bishkek.

On the way, rafting on the Chu River will be organized for you (duration 19 km / 2h). If there is a lot of water, then the rafting will be a little longer (23 km). Return to the capital in the evening. Accommodation in a 3 * hotel.
