Self-drive tour in Kyrgyzstan
(Drive top locations in a week)

Kyrgyzstan is a small mountainous country located in the heart of Central Asia. It attracts tourists with its originality, delicious cuisine, hospitable people and of course with its extraordinary beauty.

Only 6 million people live on the entire territory of the republic, and more than half of the country is the most beautiful mountain expanses, places where there are only you and nature, where you can hear only the singing of birds, the rustle of the wind and the sound of fast crystal clean rivers descending from the glaciers.

Here you will find interesting unforgettable roads, swamps, sharp stones and steep serpentines, high mountain passes from which you can see the most beautiful green jailoos and desert cold valleys; where you will be a rare guest among the wild nature expanses.

We invite you to plunge into the primordial beauty of our country, to see with your own eyes alpine meadows with peacefully grazing yaks; glaciers forming lakes at their feet reflecting the blue sky; myriads of stars that cannot be seen in any city and these impregnable mountain peaks covered with eternal snows.

Break away from reality, forget about worldly fuss, stay alone with nature, throw your phone away because there will be no connection in half of the places. Take a break from the city, from the noise of the streets and finally enjoy how the clouds float, how the sun sets over the horizon and rises again scattering dawn rays over the mountain ranges.

Do you want to feel freedom? Do you want to experience it all? Then you are on the right way!

Day

Bishkek – Cholpon-Ata (260 km).. Meeting with the guide at the airport. From here we will drive to Cholpon-Ata city. On the way we will visit the historical-architectural complex of Burana Tower. Then we will drive to the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul where we will stay in the most comfortable hotel in the region.

Issyk-Kul is the second largest mountain lake after Lake Titicaca in South America; it is included in the list of 25 largest lakes in the world and has seventh place in the list of the deepest lakes on our planet.

The local population calls Lake Issyk-Kul the “Pearl of Kyrgyzstan”. Looking like a small bead strung on a chain of mountain ranges it really lives up to its name. The “Pearl of Kyrgyzstan” is located at an altitude of 1606 m above sea level and is surrounded on both sides by ridges with the poetic names Terskey Ala-Too (Faced from the sun) and Kungei Ala-Too (Facing the sun). In Chopon-Ata we can visit a unique monument of the Bronze Age - an open-air museum of rock paintings - petroglyphs, the historical museum of the city and the cultural complex "Rukh Ordo" which is very interesting for its collection of all the most important world religions.

In the evening we will take a short boat trip and enjoy the sunset.

Karakol – Naryn (300 km). Today we will drive through the Terskey Ala-Too mountain range from the Issyk-Kul to the Naryn valley. To do this, we will first enter the Barskoon gorge, climb the serpentines to the pass and then to the high mountain valley of Ara-Bel. We will cross the valley and drive down the picturesque mountain gorge of Small Naryn to the city of Naryn. We will spend the night at the Khan-Tengri hotel. It will be a day full of adventure. Naryn – Kel-Suu lake – Naryn (350 km). Early in the morning we will drive to the Aksai Valley which is located almost on the border with China, and only the Kokshaal Too Ridge separates us from the “Celestial Empire”. The most beautiful Lake Kel-Suu is hidden in the mountain canyons. We will drive to the yurt camp and then either on foot or on horseback we will go to the lake. On the lake we will take a boat for a ride. After the walk, we will have lunch and go back to Naryn by another road, which passes next to another lake called Chatyr-Kul, from which it is a stone's throw to the border with China.

Overnight at a 4* hotel. Dinner and Folklore show.

Meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day
5

Naryn – Son-Kul lake (240 km). After breakfast we will start our journey to Son-Kul lake.
Son-Kul is the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan. It is located at 3016 meters above sea level. From the end of September to the middle of June it is covered with ice.

The fauna of Son-Kul is extremely diverse. In summer, different species of ducks, gulls and other waterfowl nest here. Only in summer you can fully enjoy the blueness of the lake, get acquainted with the life of modern nomads, live in Kyrgyz yurts and taste the national dishes of these hospitable people. Only in the summer they come to Son-Kul jailoos paying tribute to their ancestors, the nomadic Kyrgyz who spent their whole lives in transitions from one place to another either climbing the mountains with their herds in the summer or descending into the valleys for the winter.
A huge number of herbs grow on the banks and surrounding slopes. This is a real paradise for livestock. Free time.

Dinner and overnight in the yurt camp "comfort +".

Meals – breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day
6

Son-Kul – Bishkek (350 km). Today we will move to the Suusamyr valley and it will also be filled with the colors of nature. One of the most beautiful places of our visit today will be Kökemeren river.
Kökemeren means "blue stream". It flows for twenty kilometers through a canyon with fifty meters high sheer walls. Then it flows along a wide valley and again comes into a canyon...

Rushing through the wild Kavak ridge by a rapid, turbulent and high-water river deeply cut into the bottom of the valley it finally flows into the Naryn River. Kökemeren pours cold glacial waters into Nary, cooling its water by one degree. Lunch in the village of Kyzyl-Oi.
Soon we will go to the Great Kyrgyz Highway which runs from Bishkek to Osh, and immediately find ourselves in a wide green valley (steppe) Suusamyr. The mountains gave it so much space that you can forget being in a harsh mountainous country. Here, many nomads arrange their yurts for the summer period; they look like white minarets throughout the valley.
We will drive over the Too-Ashuu pass, through a mountain tunnel and finally reach Bishkek.

Overnight at a 5* hotel.
