Peak Muztagh-Ata (7,546 m) is located in China. This summit is famous for its accessibility and has no technically difficult ascent. The majority of climbers prefer skitouring or snowshoeing and then unforgettable descent down on skis or snowboard.

Many travellers know about complexity of expedition’s organization to China. The Asia Mountains Company will assist with the invitation letter and confirmation of booking, required for a visa to China. We will also arrange all required permits. You won’t have to worry about anything besides the visa.

We have been organizing ascents to Muztagh-Ata Peak ascents since 2003. 21 year of experience in safe and reliable ascents.

Climb Muztagh-Ata Peak (7,546 m) on skis! The best time to climb is summer. This summit is famous for its accessibility and has no technically difficult ascent. The Asia Mountains Company will help you with the necessary documents from the Chinese side for a visa.

1

Kashgar. Arrival to Kashgar, meat with guide. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in the hotel 4*, dinner.

Day
2

Kashgar - Karakul Lake - Subashi 200 km 4 h. We will drive along the Karakorum Highway winding for several hours through the narrow gorge of the Gez River. Then you ascend to an altitude of 3,900 meters by the shores of Karakul Lake. Here you can see horses, yaks and camels graze on the rich pasturage.

Upon arrival to the Subashi accommodation in hostel or in the tents.

3

Subashi – Base Camp. First a short transfer, then trekking. Trekking to Base Camp about 12 km – 3 - 5 h.

Today you will drive by car, next, you meet with drovers of camels or Jeeps, load all your belongings and trek to the base camp. The journey takes about four hours. Bright alpine flowers, cute marmots and the beauty of landscapes will entertain you and you will not notice how you find yourself in the base camp.

Overnight in tents on high 4 400 m.

4

Day 4 - 19. Acclimatization and ascent, 16 days. These days are for climbing to Peak Muztagh-Ata. In the Base Camp we provided tents and mattresses for overnight and food for 10 days (Breakfast/Lunch/ Dinner).

Base Camp – Subashi – Kashgar. After breakfast you hike down to Subashi. The baggage is also sent down on camels or Jeep. A bus will be waiting for you in Subashi to take the group to Kashghar. Dinner and hotel accommodation.

21

Sightseeing in Kashgar. The final day for a walk around Kashghar. Today there will be a city tour of the most interesting places: a visit to the tomb of Abak-Khoja, the famous Kashghar Bazaar, the magnificent mosque and the unique old town with typical Uygur-style houses. You can see various tea shops, local craftsmen, etc. Dinner and overnight at the hotel 4*.

22

End of program.The fascinating program at Muztagh-Ata Peak is over. The driver will take you to the airport! See you again.
