Mashrooms of Kyrgyzstan

The Ak-Tuz Valley is only 150 kilometers from the capital, but its remoteness leaves it a chance to keep its natural beauty untouched. There are clean rivers; there is a local attraction near the village of Ak-Tuz - a fountain that goes up in height above the fir trees and where you can have a picnic. Forests consisting of pine, spruce, larch and birch grow in the valley and you can pick a lot of mushrooms - brown boletus, porcini mushrooms, saffron mushrooms, russula and other type of mushrooms in there.

In addition to mushrooms, in the clearings in front of the forest and on the slopes of the gorge you can find a variety of medicinal herbs: St. John's wort, oregano, thyme, tansy, Ivan tea and many others. You can dry them at home and then drink the aromatic tea in winter which will enhance your immunity and mood.
