Trout tour in Chon-Kemin
(Fishing in Kyrgyzstan)
To diversify the leisure of our guests and make the trips useful, we decided to create a tour that will allow you not only to relax in nature, but also get a lot of pleasure from your activities. Today we will go fishing. We will get up very early and go to the Chon-Kemin gorge. It is famous mainly for the Amu Darya trout which can reach 5 kg, but where the Chuy naked osman and a mixture of the Amu Darya and Issyk-Kul trout which got into the Chon-Kemin River from the Ortotokoy reservoir along the Chu River could be found.
Fish feed mainly on water insects and their larvae, earthworms and aerial insects: butterflies, bugs, grasshoppers. In addition, trout also preys on fry. Fishing on a mountain river always requires a certain skill from the fisherman, since the bottom of the rivers is rocky and the hooks can easily be stuck between the stones, on driftwood and branches because the banks of the rivers abound with trees and shrubs.
Even if you are new to this activity the guide will tell and show on the spot how to fish on a mountain river, where to throw a hook and which bait is best to be used. Well, if you understand that fishing is not yours, then you can replace fishing at any time with hunting for mushrooms and berries in the forests of Chon-Kemin.
