Trip to Kel-Suu lake
(3-days journey)
Köl-Suu is an amazing lake. Just 10 years ago almost no one had heard about it and now a huge number of tourists visit it every year admiring its blue water surface, its narrow rocky shores and discovering the originality of these parts of Kyrgyzstan.
The valley is surrounded by green pastures where cows, horses and sheep are transported for the summer to graze. They graze peacefully in the meadows, among high mountains, cold stormy rivers, in the fresh air. You will pass along the Chuy valley and having passed the Boom gorge turn north in front of the city of Balykchy. Having passed the village of Kochkorka you will reach the city of Naryn, where you will stop for lunch at one of the local cafes.
From here, your path will run along the Ak-Sai River Valley. You will climb the Kyzyl-Bel pass and then go down to the At-Bashi valley. The Ak-Sai River Valley is one of the largest alpine valleys in Kyrgyzstan. The height of the bottom of the valley ranges from 3,000 to 3,900 m above sea level, and this alpine terrain is an ideal habitat for the famous Marco Polo and the famous Lake Köl-Suu is also located here.
Köl-Suu Lake is located at an altitude of 3,500 m above sea level and is surrounded by high cliffs. The lake appeared due to a landslide that blocked the river. Then it turned into a 12 km long pool.
You will stop at the yurt camp, where the welcoming hostess will be happy to meet you, feed and accommodate you. It is just a paradise - green meadows, fresh mountain air, breathtaking landscapes and silence. Great place to spend your weekend!
