This time we are going to the most mysterious and the unknown country of the world - Tibet.

The majestic mountains and famous Buddhist monasteries contain many mysteries and secrets, which you can fully experience on our auto tour.

Tibet has long been closed to foreign visitors. Only since 1985 has it been possible for tourists to travel to Tibet, making it an unexplored and exceptional destination for even the most avid travelers.

We will be able to see the highest mountain in the world - Everest. And enjoy the incredible sunrise from the northern base camp. We will visit several sacred lakes in Tibet, where you can momentarily let go of all worldly worries and feel a sense of freedom.

Day
1

Arrival in Chengdu, meeting at the airport, flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you will be meet by our guide who will arrange lunch and will help you transfer to your flight to Lhasa. And we will go to the capital of the Autonomous Region of Tibet - Lhasa.

Upon arrival in Lhasa, meet with your Tibetan guide and transfer to your hotel. Then we will have dinner.

2

Lhasa – work with documents. In the morning we will go to fill out DMV documents to obtain a temporary driver's license, our guide will help you. You can spend the rest of the day on your own.

The city of Lhasa is located at an altitude of 3656m above sea level. At this altitude you will begin to get acclimatized for a comfortable visit to Everest Base Camp.

3

Trip to famous places of the city. Today we will spend the whole day exploring the city of Lhasa and its attractions. In the morning we will visit the Potala Palace, which was built in 637. Then we will go to Jokhang Monastery, the center of Tibetan Buddhism. The Jokhang Temple is one of the most important religious sites in Tibet as it houses a Buddha statue created during the lifetime of Buddha Shakyamuni.

Masses of pilgrims, numerous luxurious frescoes, Buddhist statues, holy scriptures and rare treasures create an impenetrable religious and artistic atmosphere that will impress every visitor.

In the evening we will walk along Barkhor Street, which surrounds the Jokhang. This street has a large market with many stalls selling local delicacies. We will have dinner and return to the hotel.

4

Lhasa – Shigatse (269km/ 4-5 hours). In the morning, in our cars we will go to Shigatse - this is the second largest city of the Tibet Autonomous Region, located at an altitude of 3900 m above sea level, which has an ancient history and the richest traditions of national Tibetan culture.

On the way we will stop at Lake Yamdrok Tso (4441 m), this is one of the four sacred lakes of Tibet. Next we will pass by the Karuola Glacier. This is a special place where you can soak in the magnificent glacial landscapes. In the evening we will reach the hotel and have a delicious dinner.

5

Shigatse – Everest (333km/ 6 hours). Today we will go on a long journey to the base camp, the highest point in the world - Everest.

Along the way, we will cross three high passes with a height of more than 5100 m, from which you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views. We will stop at Rongbuk Monastery (5100 m), the highest monastery in the world. This now well-known religious landmark of China was founded in 1902 by Lama Nyingmapa on the site of huts where nuns and hermits retreated for hundreds of years to meditate.

The road to the valley is lined with stones engraved with mantras and sacred signs. Anyone who wanted to see the highest peak of the world, Everest, with their own eyes had to follow this path. In the evening we will enjoy a beautiful sunset and be able to contemplate incredible views of the mountain and starry sky.

6

Shigatse – Everest (333km/ 6 hours). Rising early today, we will experience an unforgettable sunrise on Everest and head back to Shigatse City. We will drive through the famous 108 zigzag turns. In the evening we will reach the hotel and have dinner.

7

Shigatse – Baingoin (492 km / 8 hours). In the morning after breakfast we will take a long drive to the city of Bangoing through Zainza County, which is located in the southern part of the Northern Tibetan Plateau.

We will drive between the Gandsi Mountains and Selinkuo Lake, the largest lake in Northern Tibet. Being a livestock farming district, they mainly raise yaks, sheep and goats. Lake Selinkuo is also part of a national nature reserve.

Towards evening we reach Baingoin. Check-in at the hotel and dinner.

8

Baingoin – Namtso Lake – Lhasa. Today we will go back to Lhasa. On the way we will visit Namtso, also called Heavenly Lake, this is the second sacred lake of Tibet. The Nyenchentangla Mountains surrounding the lake are often covered in snow even during the summer months. This view attracts tourists and photographers from all over the world.

Later we will explore the Tashi Peninsula, take a walk around the sacred hill - this is a place of Buddhist pilgrimage, the rocks of which have been destroyed over the centuries. Then our journey will continue along the asphalt Qinghai-Tibet Highway to the city of Lhasa. Upon arrival, we will check into a comfortable hotel and have dinner.

Transport to the airport. Flight home. In the morning, transfer to Lhasa airport and flight to the city of Chengdu, then you will flight to Moscow. We will be glad to see you again.
