Issyk-Kul, Kochkorka, Jumgal Valley, Suusamyr

Bishkek – Bokonbaevo. Gathering at the Asia Mountains hotel and departure from Bishkek. Near the city of Tokmok we will visit the historical complex of Burana Tower. Further the road runs through the Chuy valley and winds through the Boom gorge. Here we will take a walk with you through the canyons of Konorchek (the walk takes about 4 hours). After that we will drive to the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Finding ourselves finally in the valley of Lake Issyk-Kul we will continue our journey and stop in the village of Bokonbaevo. We will visit the local Berkutchi who will gladly tell us about his birds and even let us hold them in hands. The night will be in yurts on the shores of the lake. (-/L/D)

Bokonbaevo – Kochkorka. Early breakfast. Today we will be transferred to the village of Kochkorka where we will stay for the night in a guest house. From the village of Kochkorka we will drive to the sanatorium Chon-Tuz which is famous for its salt cave. It is a horizontal gallery in the thickness of Mount Kek-Too, 500 m long, 5 m wide, 3 m high. It is located at an altitude of 2100 m above sea level. People with asthma, chronic bronchitis and some allergic diseases come here. In mountainous climate the microclimate of the salt mine has a beneficial effect on the human body. Closer to the evening we will return to the village. The hostess of the guest house will show you the process of making Shirdak. Later we will have dinner and sleep in a cozy bed. (B/L/D)

Kochkorka – Kyzyl-Oi. In the morning after breakfast we will go to the Kyz-Art pass. Here the horses will be waiting for us. Today we will take a horse ride around the area. Even if you have never sat on a horse you can easily master this skill. You will have an experienced horse guide who will help you and tell how to sit on a horse and how to handle it. After a horse ride the car will take you to the village of Kyzyl-Oi which is located in the beautiful Jumgal valley. Here you can enjoy the views of one of the most beautiful rivers in Kyrgyzstan - Kökömeren. Kekömeren means blue stream. Twenty kilometers it flows in a canyon with sheer walls of fifty meters high. Then it enters the wide valley and again flows into the canyon ... Overnight at the guest house. (B/L/D)

Kyzyl-Oi – Suusamyr - Bishkek. Today we will head back to Bishkek. The road will run through the Suusamyr Valley. We have to climb the Too-Ashuu pass, drive through a mountain tunnel and then go down the gorge to the Chuy valley. Arrival in Bishkek. The end of the program. (B/L/-)
