Caves of the Osh hills
(In labyrinths of the underground world)
Our tour starts in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. We will go to the south of our country to the Osh Region. The stunning landscapes and, of course, the caves themselves, each with its own history and character, are waiting for us. We will take pictures on the way. In the evenings we will have a campfire gathering, discussions of the day impressions and interesting stories from our guide.
You will visit the Duvahon-Unkur Cave, which permeates the mountain through. The cave is interesting from a historical point of view, and, most importantly, it is one of the largest colonies of rare bats species centers. You will walk along the Dangi Canyon and over the river gorge to get into the Surprise Cave with its various formations created by thermal underground waters.
You will be astonished by the greatness of the Abshir-Ata Waterfall, which has religious significance, and will admire the Martian landscapes when driving to the Madygen Tract. We will visit the famous Kan-i-Gut Cave-mine (the largest underground cavity in Kyrgyzstan), where silver and lead were mined for almost 1500 years, and the surroundings with ancient melting furnaces. In Osh city we will visit the sacred Suleiman-Too Mountain and religious objects. On the way to Bishkek we will stop at the architectural and historical complex of the 9th-11th centuries, Uzgen, former capital of the Karakhanids, and in the area of Jalal-Abad town at the resort with hydrogen sulfide springs.
The varied and active tour program will allow you to get acquainted with both nature monuments and the history and culture of Kyrgyzstan. Living in the tent camps provides the experience of being in a real field expedition, having adventure and merging with the nature in harmony. Think about the night under the endless starry sky!
