If you like travelling alone or only with your family or friends we are happy to offer you our self-drive tours which show the approximate plan of your possible travel which you could easily change due to your wishes and desires. You may go to the places you want to go to and do the things not included in the plan. You won't have time scedule, but you will decide it yourself. You won't have a guide who would tell you what to do and where to go, but instead you will have a chance to see as much as you want whenever you want.

Day 1. Bishkek (Ala-Archa gorge) / ~ 120 km of drive
 Arrival to Bishkek, meeting at the “Manas” airport, Transfer to “Asia Mountains” hotel. Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and the biggest city in the country. Its population is about 1 million people. The town is located on the north of Kyrgyzstan in Chu valley at the foot of Tian-Shan mountains about 40km from Kyrgyz ridge and about 25km from Kazakh border.
 Today you will get acquainted with your car and drive to the national park Ala-Archa where you may spend your time seeing a great Kyrgyz nature. The park is located in 40 km from Bishkek on the slopes of Kyrgyz Ala-Too. Ala-Archa is translated from Kyrgyz language as “motley juniper”. The gorge got its name due to a great amount of juniper covering its slopes. As different kinds of juniper have different colors and the gorge seems to be very colorful.

Day 2. Bishkek – Cholpon-Ata / ~ 250 km of drive 
In the morning after breakfast continue your trip and drive to Cholpon-Ata – the town which is located on the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in Kyrgyzstan – Issyk-Kul lake. Issyk-Kul Lake is the second biggest mountain lake after Titicaca in South America; it is one of 25 biggest and 7 deepest lakes in the world. Local people call this lake the “Pearl of Kyrgyzstan”. As a small bead put on the chain of mountain ridges it definitely justifies this name. The “Pearl” is located on the height of 1609 m above the sea level and enclosed from two sides by the ranges with the poetic names Terskey-Ala-Too (turned from the sun) and Kungey-Ala-Too (turned to the sun). Upon arrival your accommodation point could be “Raduga” hotel. Free time for rest and enjoying yourself.  (B/L/D)

Day 3.  Issyk-Kul – Karakol / ~ 190 km of drive
Today in the morning visit Cholpon-Ata petroglyphs (stone inscriptions) left on the stones by ancient artists. On the territory of 42 hectares there is a great amount of stones of different size with petroglyphs, which were drawn by the ancient settlers of this territory. May visit the historical-cultural museum in the center of Cholpon-Ata town and the museum and cultural-architectural complex Ruh-Ordo. This day you may also make a loop through two beautiful Semyonov and Grigoriev gorges visiting on the road picturesque mountainous lake.
Next stop will be in the town of Karakol. Accommodation in “Green Yard” hotel. (B/-/-)

Day 4. Karakol – Djeti-Oguz – Barskoon - Tamga / ~ 270 km of drive
In the morning you may see the town with its ancient Dungan Mosque, and a Holy Trinity wooden Church which was first built without a single nail. You may also visit Prjevalsky museum 15 km from the town. After that you will drive to Djeti-Oguz gorge by the eastern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. The gorge is located 60 km to the west of Karakol on the northern slopes of Terskey-Ala-Too. This is one of the most beautiful places in Kyrgyzstan. For 25 km on both sides of the gorge the fir trees are growing at first merging into small groups and then turning into huge forest mass. The gorge finally becomes a wide Kok-Djayik valley which is totally covered by fir forests up to the very top of the ridge. Over the forest zone (about 3000 m) in the wide valley of about 15 km there are amazing subalpine and alpine meadows called Djailoo. 
You may drive to the upper part of the gorge and hike to the waterfall. You may have lunch in Kyrgyz yurts and then drive to the other wonderful place called Barskoon pass. The road goes up and up to the very top of Terskei-Ala-Too mountains and after you are on the top you may see a huge plateau with lots of blue lakes.
The next stop is going to be in Tamga village and accommodation point is “Tamga” guest house. (B/L/D)

Day 5. Tamga – Son-Kul / ~ 335 km of drive
This morning you will drive first to Bokonbaevo village where you may stop at the house of local eagle hunter. You will get some information of how they are grown and will have a chance to make colorful pictures with falcons in your hands. Next stop will be in Kochkorka village where you will have lunch and see the Shyrdak show, you will see how Kyrgyz people make national carpets for yurts and also you will have a chance to visit a local ethnographic museum. After that you will head further to an amazing mountain lake Son-Kul which is opened only in summer as all the roads and the lake itself is covered with snow for the rest of the year. Dinner and overnight in local yurts.(B/L/D)

Day 6. Son-Kul - Kazarman / ~ 260 km of drive
You will leave Son-Kul and drive to Kazarman village. On the way there are going to be mountain views with Kyrgyz nomad yurts. Green canvas of steppes, clear water rivers and small villages located far from each other. Coming to Kazarman. Overnight in a home stay. (B/L/D)

Day 7. Kazarman - Osh / ~ 300 km of drive
In the morning you will finally head to Osh. It was one of the religious Muslim centers in Central Asia. It is known by its ancient mosques in the center of the town and also by Suleiman-Too (Sulaiman-Takhty, The throne of Solomon), which is one of the places of pilgrimage of central Asian Muslims. You may have an excursion to the sacred mountain. Overnight in a hotel in Osh town. (B/-/-)  

Day 8. Osh – Arslanbob / ~ 210 km of drive
Today you will drive to an amazing mountain range called Arslanbob. It has a large wild forest.
The Arslanbob woodland is the largest walnut grove on earth. Kyrgyzstan's first known export to Europe was the Arslanbob walnut. Two waterfalls are located in the area which attract tourists, pilgrims and other visitors during the spring and summer months. If you like you may have a little walk to the first waterfall which is about 25 m and the hike will take you about half an hour. After that you may walk to a panorama place from where you will be able to see the whole gorge. It is a great view and here you will have a little free time to enjoy the nature and make some pictures. Dinner. Overnight in a home stay. (B/-/D)

Day 9. Arslanbob – Chychkan / ~ 335 km of drive
You will leave Arslanbob and drive to Chychkan gorge going along the good paved road which connects southern and northern capitals – Bishkek and Osh. You will stop at the cozy guest house on the bank of the river. (B/-/-)

Day 10. Chychkan – Bishkek / ~ 260 km of drive
Today you will continue driving to Suusamyr and soon dive into the wide valley (steppe). The mountains surrounding it gave the valley so much space that for a moment one may forget being in the harsh mountain country. Here in the summer one may see many nomads who bring their yurts for the summer time. Soon you will reach Bishkek.
Accommodation in the hotel of Asia Mountains and rest.

Day 3. Chychkan – Djalal-Abad / ~ 320 km of drive
Today you will drive further to Djalal-Abad town on the South of Kyrgyzstan. Jalal-Abad is the administrative center of Jalal-Abad region which  is located at the altitude of about 760 m above sea level in Kugart Valley.
The population of Jalalabad is about 90000 people and it’s the third largest city in the country. Here you may visit the local historical museum and a resort with mineral waters and curative mud.

Day 4. Djalal-Abad – Kazarman – Son-Kul / ~ 440 km of drive
This morning you will drive first to Kazarman village where you may have lunch and after that you will head further to an amazing mountain lake Son-Kul which is opened only in summer as all the roads and the lake itself is covered with snow for the rest of the year. Dinner and overnight in local yurts.(B/L/D)

Day 5. Son-Kul lake – Kochkorka - Tamga / ~ 330 km of drive
In the morning you will continue your way to Kochkorka, where you may have lunch in a local family and see “Crafts show”. Local people are happy to show you how they make their carpets and you will also be able to see the crafts museum where you will have a chance to buy some souvenirs for your relatives and friends. After all this you will go to one of the towns on the southern shore of a great mountainous lake Issyk-Kul. Overnight in a guest house in Tamga village. (B/L/D)

Day 6. Tamga – Bishkek / ~ 310 km of drive
After breakfast you will go to the shores of the great mountainous lake. You will have free time to enjoy the waters and make great pictures of the second biggest alpine lake in the world.

In the morning after breakfast you will drive by the Mountainous road to Shamsy gorge where there is an option to have a little horseback riding. On the way you may visit the historical-architectural complex of Burana Tower. After lunch in a yurt you will drive further to Chon-Kemin gorge where you will stay for a night in Ashuu guest house. Day 4.  Karakol – Altyn-Arashan / ~ 50 km of drive    
In the morning you may make a city tour around the town of Karakol visiting wooden Holy Trinity Cathedral and Dungan mosque as well as the museum of Prjevalsky. Next you will leave your car at the parking spot of Green Yard hotel and drive on the military Russian car to Altyn-Arashan gorge which is well-known by its hot springs that by the legend cures all diseases. Swimming in the hot springs.Free time to walk. Rest at a home stay.(B/-/D)

Day 5. Altyn-Arashan – Djeti-Oguz – Barskoon - Tamga / ~ 270 km of drive

Day 6. Tamga – Kochkorka / ~ 205 km of drive 
In the morning you will enjoy the view of Terskey-Ala-Too ridge and after breakfast will continue your way. You will see an amazing change of landscapes like in kaleidoscope.  
Drive to Kochkorka village along the southern shore of the lake which is very different from its northern brother. On the way you may stop in Bokonbaevo village to visit the house of an eagle hunter and the cotton factory to see how Kyrgyz national carpets are made. Upon arrival to Kochkorka you will be accommodated in the house of local family so you will be able to see how Kyrgyz people live and here you will have national stile dinner. (B/-/D)

Day 7. Kochkorka – Bishkek (270 km)
Today you will drive back to Bishkek. Arrival to the capital and accommodation in the hotel of Asia Mountains. Rest. Later the car will take you to the airport for your flight home. (B/-/-)
