Since its launching in 2011 the Issyk-Kul Marathon is becoming more and more popular. In 2017 about 3000 athletes took part in the event on different diistances. In 2018 it will be hels for the 7th time. The running route is unique due not only to the altitude of 1,600 m but also to the splendid surroundings of Lake Issyk-Kul, the pearl of Kyrgyzstan, and snow-capped mountains. Besides running you can enjoy excursions to some historical sites and relax in the mountaineous climate. We are waiting for you next year!

Almaty Marathon is an annual international race competition, the largest sports event in Central Asia. Almaty Marathon is one of the few international marathons that are charitable: the funds received from the initial contributions of participants are directed to charitable purposes. Almaty Marathon was first organized in 2012 and scored 2,500 participants on all distances. In 2017 the number was already 13,000 people. In 2013 Almaty Marathon entered the International Association of Marathons and Runs (AIMS) uniting more than 400 marathons and runs in 120 countries. The routes of Almaty Marathon are certified in accordance with AIMS and IAAF rules and have the B category. Almaty Marathon is supported by the City Hall (akimat) of Almaty and other partners. In 2018 the event will be held for the 7th time. The registration will be open from January 1, 2018 and last until the number reaches 20,000 people.
